Hosting


TheoraSea is a video (and audio) sharing area. This site is only a directory of links pointing toward some distant videos, it is absolutely not an hosting website.
So, you can only submit videos that you host yourself or that you host thanks to a third service. (follow this link to learn more about the philosophy of this site)

If you don't know where host your videos, you can register you at Blip.tv or Archive.org or else, create an website on any hosting web service.



Use of this service


To submit a media file, you just need to write the adress of the video. You will use, by the way, the public version of the web player ITheora (free software under GPLv3 licence).
You can also use the public version of ITheora without necessarily refer your video : fill in this form, the code to embed in you web page sur votre site web will be returned.
You can also use your own version of ITheora, the sharing function will give you an easy way to submit on TheoraSea, but, if you prefer use the submit form, the URL is on this model "http://adress_of_itheora/index.php?v=your_video.ogg/.ogv" (or your_playlist.xspf, ou else your_podcast.php/.xml/...)



Advertising


TheoraSea commit to not make any advertising at all.

Acceptance of the general term of use


This site is a service site in english, french, and spanish languages.
The access to the site for the simple consultation or the vote is free and anonymous.
Anonymous visitor can access to all of the "public" videos and discussion area.
The registration is made by the simple creation free of a member account, you accept so the term of use described in the current document.

This site is governed by the french law.



Contents publication


We ask you to :

  • To respect the subject talked in the video or in the discussion area.
  • To make a research before to submit in order to avoid duplicated videos.
  • To choose a title and to give some details to describe the subject of the video.
  • To respect the rules of the courtesy, of the good behaviour.
  • To not devote to something that can be punished penally :
    • relating to a pornographic, pedophiliac feature or to bestiality ;
    • threatening one or several persons ;
    • proposing or encouraging to piracy ;
    • proved to be slanderous, defamatory, abusive, racist or encouraging to be ;
    • that contain some propaganda unconstitutional.
  • To respect the law in force, in particular concerning the forgery and the copyright.


Moderation


The moderators of this site having chosen to trust the members, the moderation is made at posteriori. So the messages are published directly, without intervention of the moderators or administrators. This allow to shorten time of the answer to a problem and to improve he flow of activity.

Moderators are some members attentive and consciencious, chosen for their serious by the administrators of the site.

Is liable to be modified :

  • Anything not in adequation with the subject of the video.

Is liable to be remove without advance notice :

  • Any content not in an ogg/ogv format, neither in a xspf format, nor an ogg podcast.
  • Any content not respecting the previously expounded rules.

It's possible to, for users, ask the moderation of a content sending a message with the URL adress of the problematic content on the ITheora forum (link in the footer).
After the notification of an abuse, the moderators and administrators will try, as soon as possible, to react in a shorter delay in order to stop it.
In case of obvious and serious abuse (intensive publication, spam, facts against the law), the author would be, without advance notice, bannished from the site as long as he won't have given an explaination.



Modification et deletion of content


A message posted in the discussion area can be edited and removed at any moment by it author.
On the right of each message there is a link to this use (Edit)

The title or the description of the media files can be edited and removed at any moment by it author.

Moderators are able to do also if they think the content is not in accordance with the rules describes here.



Authors' responsability


Messages and media files posted are on the responsability of their authors that keep owner of their publications and representatives of this site decline all responsability in the subject of this contents.

Authors commit toaccept all their responsability and consequences relating to.



Author's identification


Administrators of sites must, by the law, keep the data permitting the authors' identification, so this informations will be kept by the server. Data include the date and the hour of the publication of the content as well as the IP adress and the name of the author.
In case of infrigement done with a content not censored by the moderators, webmasters of the site will have to deliver this informations to the judicial or administrative authorities judiciaires ou administratives which ask it.



Indexing


Contents posted on the site are liable to be indexed by some search engine.
So, it's possible that search engines proceed to a digital preservation in order to simplify their research in their own data base.
when a content moderated is remove, it may keep in the cache of a search engine without administrators or moderators being able to purge.
Liables of the site decline there too all responsability because they all what have been needed, on their level, to erase this content from Internet.

In accordance with the chapiter V of the law "Informatique et Libertés" of the 6 january 1978, you have available to a access right to you personnal information, that you can modify thanks to the "Profil" page, accessible in the user box on top left of each page.
